The province’s police watchdog is investigating a shooting involving an RCMP officer.
SiRT says it was New Year’s Eve just before 11pm in Pictou Landing First Nation.
They say a man was threatening to harm himself and others with a weapon at a home on Harbourview Crescent.
And was allegedly involved in a domestic assault.
The suspect approached two officers, who then used a taser as well as a firearm, hitting the suspect.
The suspect was injured and was taken to hospital.
There were no other injuries.
