N.S. minimum wage going up 20 cents in April

Minimum wage is going up 20 cents on April 1st.

The province says they’ll increase it to $15.20 per hour.

It follows a formula recommended by the Minimum Wage Review Committee.

Minister of Labour, Skills and Immigration Jill Balser says it’s been a difficult year for many in the province, and she’s grateful to the committee for putting forward a balanced approach to the increase.

Minimum wage hit 15 dollars an hour on October 1st.
