Boost for Active Living in Bridgewater

Lunenburg West MLA Becky Druhan has announced a significant investment in local active living initiatives, bringing a breath of fresh air to Bridgewater, Nova Scotia.

The Nova Scotia Government is injecting $22,800 into two key projects aimed at promoting healthier lifestyles. The Town of Bridgewater will receive $17,900 to enhance winter access to a local walking track. Simultaneously, HB Studios Sports Centre secures $4,900 to support the Wellness Wednesday Walking Program and Rainbow Social, catering specifically to 2SLGBTQIA+ Older Youth and Adults.

This injection of funds is a strategic move by the government to foster active living and overall well-being across the province. MLA Druhan highlighted the importance of these initiatives, emphasizing their role in keeping the community active and healthy, particularly during the challenging winter months.

The investment, part of the Active Communities Fund, aligns seamlessly with Nova Scotia’s commitment to promoting physical activity and health within local communities.
