Ottawa police look to N.S. in sexual assault investigation

The Ottawa Police Service is investigating a sexual assault case and seeking further victims in Nova Scotia.

An Ottawa educational assistant has been arrested and charged with sexual offences following an investigation that began last November.

Police say the reported incidents occurred starting in September 2022, involving three male youths under the age of 14, when he worked at the Ottawa Carlton District School Board.

A 32-year-old man is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.

Police believe there could be other victims while he was employed by the school board and during his other work with youth in Ottawa and in Nova Scotia.
