Consolidation could be coming for three municipal units in Shelburne County.
The idea will be discussed between the town and municipality, and the Town of Lockeport.
Warden Penny Smith says they aren’t making a commitment just yet.
“We just want to explore the potential advantages and challenges that consolidation could bring to our communities. We will be engaging with residents throughout the process,” said Smith.
Smith adds it’s important to keep their unique identities in a shared future.
They will begin discussions in the near future.
