The South Shore Ice Sharks Bantam ‘AA’ hockey club will host the Mainland League tournament beginning today in Liverpool. The tournament is held every year once the regular season wraps up to determine which teams qualify for provincials. The Ice Sharks are ranked #1 heading into the tourney. Head Coach Jody O’Donnell says its gut-check time for his team.
Ten teams are in the tourney including Pictou, Brookfield, Yarmouth, Truro and West Hants. The club plays their first game at 4:30 against Cumberland at Queens Place Emera Centre.
