PCs say Nova Scotians deserve answers on Liberal cover-up

Provincial PCs accuse the Liberals of having a culture of cover-ups.

Auditor General, Kim Adair has called on the RCMP to investigate the Nova Scotia Liberal Party for hiding misuse of public funds.

In a release, MLA for Shelburne and Vice-Chair of the Legislature’s Public Accounts Committee, Nolan Young says, “The Auditor General has revealed the Liberal Party’s dishonest culture of cover-ups.

Zach Churchill is now shifting blame onto Stephen McNeil and Iain Rankin despite initially refusing to cooperate with the Auditor General.”

He adds, “Nova Scotians deserve answers on how public funds were stolen under the Liberal Party’s watch.”

Young says, “It is difficult to have confidence in a party that has shown that Liberals will protect Liberals when it comes to theft.”

The PC caucus says they look forward to a Public Accounts Committee meeting on this matter.
