Rain, freezing rain, snow possible late this week

Winter isn’t done with us yet.

A special weather statement is out for Thursday and Friday, as mild and wet conditions will turn to freezing rain and snow.

Environment Canada says rain will start Thursday, then change to ice pellets and freezing rain by evening.

Northern and eastern regions could get up to 30 millimetres of freezing rain, and the north could also receive 20 cenitmetres of snow and ice pellets.

Southern regions could see up to 50 millimetres of rain.
