High sea levels for Atlantic Coast

There could be pounding surf along the coast Monday.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the entire Atlantic Coast.

They say elevated water levels could happen around high tide.

A wind warning is in effect for Inverness County, from Margaree Harbour to Bay St. Lawrence with gusts that could reach 140 km/h but should diminish by early Monday afternoon.

It comes after yesterday’s rain and windstorm that battered most of the province.

The forecaster says to continue to monitor for alerts.
