A Newfoundland man is facing charges after police found $250,000 worth of illegal smokes in a tractor trailer in North Sydney.
Police say they searched the big rig after tips came into their detachment.
Officers say they found over 750,000 illegal cigarettes, along with $30,000 in cash and over 3,000 pills.

It’s believed the truck was headed for the ferry crossing to Newfoundland.
A 49-year-old man is facing numerous charges related to the incident.
