High wind and heavy rain has caused a number of power outages in the South Shore.
Hundreds of people were in the dark in Vogler’s Cove, Cherry Hill and East Port Medway but Nova Scotia Power has restored their service.
There are outages remaining in the New Germany, New Ross and Hubbards areas.
Other outages have been reported in Lapland, Chester Basin, Mill Village, West Dublin, First South and Whynott’s Settlement.
RCMP say a tree and power line were knocked down on Highway 3 in Simm’s Settlement.
The issue has been cleared but RCMP says motorists should expect some delays.

Meanwhile, the power utility lists a few scattered outages in Shelburne County in West Green Harbour, Welshtown, Lower Ohio and Clyde River.
NSP estimates power will be restored between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.
As of 8:10 a.m, there are 181 power outages across the province affecting 11,555 people, according to Nova Scotia Power.
Drivers should take extra caution on the roads with pools of water and fallen tree branches in some areas.
