3 Nova Scotians named 2024 Loran Scholars

Three students from Nova Scotia are among 36 new Loran Scholars for 2024.

There were more than 5,000 applicants across Canada.

Halifax’s Hanna Daley of Citadel High School, Windsor’s Aidan Webb of Avon View High School, and Havre Boucher’s Jakob DeGruchy of East Antigonish Education Centre/Academy have been named.

Loran Scholars are selected for the country’s largest undergraduate merit award by demonstrating strength of character, service and leadership.

Those chosen will benefit from a four-year leadership-enrichment program, financial support, and a network of peers and mentors.
