Rainfall warnings in place for most of Atlantic coast, Inverness County

A rainfall warning is in place for the Atlantic coast, stretching from Shelburne County all the way up to Guysborough County and north into Inverness County.

Environment Canada says between 40 and 60m of rain could fall, with winds gusting up to 80 km/h and possible thunder showers.

The weather will begin Friday morning and continue into Friday morning. Environment Canada says it should clear up later in the day Saturday.

As the weather gets closer, the warning areas could expand to include Cape Breton, Environment Canada says.
