Lunenburg CAO issues apology after comments caught on video

Lunenburg’s Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) has apologized after some of his off-the-cuff remarks were captured on the town council video feed.

CAO Jamie Doyle made some disparaging comments towards those opposing the development of Blockhouse Hill. The video has since been pulled so what exactly was said cannot be confirmed, but Doyle’s apology indicated his words did not reflect the views of council or town staff.

He’s promising to do better and be more professional moving forward.

Doyle will however be vacating his role as CAO on May 11th, having issued his resignation earlier this spring for reasons unrealted.

Hillary Grant who currently works for the town as its’ Director of Community Development, will takeover the CAO role on an interim basis following Doyles’ departure.
