Nova Scotia Health is advising residents that the emergency room at Queens General Hospital will be closed the weekend of May 3-5.
The closure will begin Friday afternoon at 1:30 p.m., with it reopening Monday morning at 8:oo a.m. for normal hours.
During the closure, anyone with urgent medical needs is asked to contact 911.
Anyone with non-urgent medical needs can contact 811, which will connect you with a registered nurse. This service is available 24/7.
