Virtual care expanding to Lunenburg, Shelburne

Virtual health care is expanding to two hospitals.

The option will be available at Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital in Lunenburg as of May 28 and at Roseway Hospital in Shelburne on May 31.

A number of emergency departments are already using the service.

Virtual care is meant for non-life threatening health issues, and can be helpful when emergency departments are closed.

Public information sessions will be held in these areas to explain how it works, and what services will be offered.
