Expect traffic delays in H.R.M. with 2nd weekend closure of MacKay Bridge

You’ll need to allow for extra time with the second of four planned weekend closures of the MacKay Bridge June 14th-17th.

It’s for maintenance and inspection projects that cannot be done while traffic crosses the span.

Halifax Harbour Bridges says to expect traffic delays and higher than usual volumes on the Macdonald Bridge and in surrounding neighbourhoods.

The MacKay will be closed from 7 p.m. Friday until Monday at 5:30 a.m.

According to HHB, all bridge closures are weather-dependent.
