Man faces attempted murder charges after Tatamagouche stabbing

A 41-year-old man from Tatamagouche faces attempted murder charges after police say he stabbed someone early Sunday morning.

RCMP say a man called around 2:30 a.m. and said he stabbed a woman he knew at a home on Highway 246, near the 3000 block.

Police arrested the man at the scene and gave the victim first aid.

She suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.

Police held the man in custody. He’s set to appear in court later.

The investigation continues.
