Town of Shelburne office moving to Mowatt Street

The Town of Shelburne’s office is moving.

They’re going from their current location on Water Street to the post office building on Mowatt Street.

Mayor Harold Locke says they’ll be upstairs.

“It requires accessibility, so we had to install an elevator, and it’s almost complete. Then the staff will start to move in,” said Mayor Locke.

He says their current building on Water Street is aging.

“A lot of maintenance is required, so this is a move that has been planned, and it’s progressed very well.”

The office will be closed from August 19-23 to accommodate the move.

They plan to officially open on August 26.
