A new funding agreement for the province’s 49 municipalities.

Ottawa is giving $318 million for projects like wastewater, public transport and community energy projects over the next five years.

The province says it’s a new 10-year agreement.

They say it will help them in the housing crisis by building and maintaining more critical infrastructure

Nova Scotia will get nearly $61 million this fiscal year.

The previous agreement expired in March.
