N.S. man dies in southeastern N.B. crash

A 33-year-old man from Amherst, N.S., has died following a crash in southeastern New Brunswick.

First responders were called to Route 16 in Point de Bute around 3:40 p.m. Wednesday.

“The collision is believed to have occurred when a van, travelling westbound, failed to stop and collided with the rear-end of a transport truck,” RCMP said in a news release on Thursday.

The driver and lone occupant of the van died at the scene from their injuries.

Police said the truck driver did not suffer any physical injuries.
