Beluga airplane makes unexpected stop in Sydney

An unusual Airbus Beluga made a surprise landing at J.A. Douglas McCurdy Sydney Airport, turning heads with its distinctive whale-like design.

The cargo plane arrived on Sunday after being diverted from its planned route from the Azores to St. John’s, Newfoundland. The reason for the unexpected stop remains unclear, though weather may have been a factor.

The Beluga, which specializes in transporting oversized cargo, departed on Monday, heading to Portsmouth, England. Its brief visit was a rare and memorable sight for local aviation fans.
