More than 100 employees were honoured in Halifax, Wednesday, for keeping Nova Scotians safe.
Those who have worked in or supported health care staff on the front lines for more than 20 years, received recognition, as well as other employees who contribute to Nova Scotia’s emergency health care system.
The province says, two, 45-year employees, Dale Bartlett and John Lewis were given the long-service award.
Six length-of-service milestones were also recognized:

There were 109 recipients, with a total of more than 2,700 years worked.
In Nova Scotia, there are about 1,200 paramedics and last year alone, more than 193,000 calls were received, which is about 530 calls every day.
