28-year-old drunk driver was nodding off in Sackville drive-thru

A 28-year-old woman has been arrested for impaired driving after allegedly falling asleep behind the wheel in a drive-thru.

Her breath samples were four times over the legal limit.

RCMP say it happened Jan. 1, just before 3:30 p.m., at a business on Sackville Drive in Lower Sackville.

Police received a report that a Hyundai Sonata had bumped into the building and the driver was nodding off.

An officer was in the line ahead of the vehicle and, with other officers who arrived at the scene, determined the Middle Sackville woman was “impaired by alcohol.”

Her breath samples were 340mg per cent and 360mg per cent.

The woman was arrested but has since been released and his scheduled to be in court in March.
