Mill Village man facing attempted murder charge after allegedly stabbing 84-year-old

A man is facing an attempted murder charge after allegedly stabbing an 84-year-old man.

The RCMP says it happened on Friday at about 3:30 a.m. along Highway 3 in Mill Village, according to a news release from RCMP.

When officers arrived at the home, they found a man with life-threatening injuries.

They say another drove away from the scene and was found a few hours later in Voggler’s Cove.

Police say the two men knew each other. The victim was taken to hospital and there was no one else inside the home at the time.

A 60-year-old man from Mill Village will remain in custody and will appear in court later this month.

The investigation continues.
