The Bugs Are Back In Town! Here’s How To Fight Back!

I did some mowing this weekend and let me tell you. The bugs are out in full force! I saw ticks, black flies and even a hornet! This is expected as the weather gets warmer we should be ready for the bugs to come out! We can however fight back! I have a few tips on how you can avoid being covered in bites. These might not work all the time but I have either seen these things or they have worked for me!

Easy Ways To Keep Bugs Off You!

  1. Smolder an egg carton– If you are working in the garden this can help keep black flies and mosquitoes away
  2. Wear a bug jacket
  3. Use Bug Spray– Either homemade or store bought
  4. Empty Water Pools– Make sure to empty any pools of water around your property like water in old tires and things like that mosquitoes love laying eggs in those!
  5. Install Bug Lights- You can buy and install lights that will attract and kill bugs
  6. Get some ginny hens- They eat ticks and other insects! (you might have some mess to clean up though)

Those are a few of my suggestions for the next time you are in your yard mowing or doing whatever. Do you have anything special you do to keep the bugs off you?
