LISTEN: Alzheimer’s Walks Coming Up This Weekend

Two very important walks are taking place this Sunday on the South Shore!
The Walk for Alzheimer’s kicks off on Sunday in Bridgewater and Shelburne. Bridgewater’s walk starts at 10 a.m., and Shelburne’s will begin at 1 p.m.

So many of us have been affected or may be affected by Alzheimer’s disease at some point in our lives, so the opportunity to raise money for research and awareness is incredibly important.

I spoke with Rhonda Lemire, Regional Coordinator of Education & Outreach for the South Shore from the Alzheimer Society.

Ben Holmes has lived on the South Shore of Nova Scotia for most of his life and has a deep passion for the culture and community of Nova Scotia and the Maritimes.
