Fundraisers launched after tragic loss of 3-year-old in Bedford

Two fundraising appeals have been launched to help the family of three-year-old Maverick Brown following a fatal accident in Bedford.

Police say the boy was struck by a car while crossing Brownstone Way and later died from his injuries on Friday evening.

Family members have established two GoFundMe campaigns to support funeral costs, burial expenses, and other related needs.

Maverick’s aunt, Kim, has organized a campaign to help cover funeral expenses and ease the financial burden on the family.

A second fundraiser, organized by a relative of Joel Brown, is focused on burial arrangements and other unexpected expenses.

Halifax Regional Police say the investigation is ongoing, and no charges have been laid. No further details have been released at this time.

Meanwhile, community members continue to offer support and compassion to the grieving family.
