Tentative deal reached at Atlantic School of Theology averting strike

A strike has been averted at the Atlantic School of Theology in Halifax.

Employees have reached a tentative agreement with the AST board.

According to a release from the Atlantic School of Theology Faculty Association, the two sides reached a deal in the eleventh hour of Monday’s conciliated negotiations.

The union representing faculty members and professional library workers had said they were poised to begin job action Tuesday.

Details of the proposed contract need to be ratified by both parties before details are made public.
