Update: Special weather statement continues for southwestern N.S.

Parts of mainland Nova Scotia could still receive lots of rain in a short period before Tuesday afternoon ends.

Heavy showers and scattered thundershowers associated with the remnants of Post-Tropical Cyclone Chantal will continue to impact some counties in southwestern Nova Scotia.

Environment Canada’s special weather statement calls for potential rainfall rates in excess of 25 mm per hour.
