Here’s Some Summer Treat Ideas For Your Pup!

It’s summertime!
It’s hot, it’s humid, and chances are you and your family will be enjoying one (or two… or three… or four!) summer treats over the next little while.

If you’ve ever wanted to share some of those goodies with your dog, here are a few dog-friendly summer treats they’ll love!

  • Frozen Fruit Cubes
Blend dog-safe fruits like watermelon (seedless), blueberries, or strawberries with water and freeze in ice cube trays.
  • Frozen Yogurt Pops
Use plain, unsweetened yogurt (no additives!) mixed with fruit or peanut butter. Freeze in molds or ice cube trays.
  • Ice Cubes with a Twist
Freeze low-sodium chicken or beef broth into cubes for a savory treat.
  • Frozen Banana Bites
Slice bananas and freeze them. You can also dip them in a bit of yogurt before freezing.
  • Dog-Safe Ice Cream
There are commercial dog ice creams but if your pup has tried some “normal” ice cream before and they didn’t have any tummy problems they should be ok with a little bit every once in a while!
