CAT ferry bookings continue to rise

Bookings are up for the CAT ferry by more than 5,000 passengers over the last month.

Bay Ferries Limited says, the vessel that travels between Yarmouth and Bar Harbour, Maine had more than 24,000 bookings as of July 8, 2025.

That’s a jump of more than 27 per cent from the roughly 19,000 on June 12, 2025.

However, compared to last year at this time, there is about 6,000 less.

Leading to this is a significant drop in Canadian bookings, but CEO of Bay Ferries says, they are still pleased to see this year’s bookings progress.

“We remain committed to welcoming passengers from around the world on this unique transportation link between New England and the Maritimes,” says Mark Wilson.

The vessel has completed 37 round trips so far this year, with seven in May and June that were cancelled due to poor weather.
