Horse falls off embankment after it was spooked by dirt bikers

A horse fell over the side of a trail after it was scared by two dirt bikers near Musquodobit Harbour.

The RCMP says it happened on Friday along the Blueberry Trail System.

The noise from the bikes scared a horse, which threw off its rider before falling down an embankment.

No official word yet on any potential injuries.

An RCMP spokesperson says anyone on the trails should consider how their speed and noise can impact the safety of others.

Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact RCMP HRD at 902-490-5020.

Our newsroom has reached out to the RCMP to confirm if they are investigating the incident further.
