Update: Parts of N.S. under heat warning

A heat warning is in effect for some areas of the province.

It’s in place for northern and central mainland Nova Scotia, as well as the Annapolis Valley and parts of the South Shore.

Environment Canada says temperatures between Monday and Wednesday could reach 29 to 31 degrees Celsius with the humidex up to 38.

The forecaster says there will be little relief overnight, with lows between 16 and 18.

Conditions should get cooler on Thursday.
