52-year-old woman fond dead after house fire in Sipekne’katik

A 52-year-old woman was found dead after a fire at a home in Sipekne’katik.

The RCMP says they were called to Tuff Street, near Burma Road, just after midnight on Sunday, according to a news release.

Officers found the home fully engulfed when they arrived.

And once the fire was out, they found the woman’s body inside.

Based on evidence from the scene, they do not think it was criminal in nature.

But the Medical Examiner and Fire Marshal’s Offices will continue to investigate.
