Quebec man dies after truck goes airborne on Hwy 102 near Enfield

A man from Quebec died after a pickup truck became airborne and crashed into an SUV in Enfield.

It happened on Highway 102 late Sunday morning, as the truck crossed the median before the collision.

The 51-year-old driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene, a passenger also from Quebec suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital.

The driver of the truck is a 38-year-old man from South Carolina, he was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Halifax RCMP say the highway at Exit 7 was closed for several hours, and the investigation is continuing.
