NS Power breach could affect any current, former customers: report

New details have been released about the Nova Scotia Power cyber attack.

The utility notified the public of the hack on April 28.

As they investigated, they found more and more customers could be affected.

The utility said in June that the attackers accessed data from all current and former customers.

But a new report from earlier this week says the attack has limited the data in their systems.

So the utility cannot find an exact number for how many past customers were impacted.

They are offering free credit monitoring for people whose information may have been stolen.
