What can we expect weather-wise this fall?

If you like warmer weather, you could be in luck over the coming weeks.

The Weather Network released its fall forecast for the Maritimes on Wednesday.

Meteorologist Rhythm Reet said temperatures are expected to be above normal.

“But that does still mean we can get cooler shots of air,” said the meteorologist.

Welcome relief to the extremely dry weather could be on tap during the fall.

Reet said the region is trending toward near-seasonal when it comes to precipitation.

“We can expect fewer than normal fall storms to impact the region,” she said.

“But the wild card is always going to be the hurricane season and how the remnants move into Atlantic Canada.”

As we head into November, Reet said fall may come to an abrupt stop and transition into an early winter.

The Weather Network said nearly the entire country will see above-normal temperatures this fall with near-normal precipitation for most areas.
