South Shore Lumberjacks seek new mascot

The South Shore Lumberjacks are searching for someone to bring extra energy to the rink this season — as the team’s new mascot.

The junior hockey club announced this week that it’s looking for a high-energy volunteer to take on the role at home games. The position involves entertaining the crowd, interacting with fans of all ages, and helping to build excitement in the arena.

The team says it’s an opportunity for someone who enjoys being the centre of attention and wants to be part of the game-day experience.

The season opens Friday, though the team won’t play at home until September 27.

Anyone interested in applying can find details on how to get involved through the Lumberjacks’ online platforms.
