Horse and buggy overturns at end of Queens County Parade

A horse and buggy crash brought a dramatic close to the Queens County Exhibition parade on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Queens County District RCMP, officers on scene responded to an incident on Highway 8 at the conclusion of the parade, where a horse towing a wagon appeared to get spooked.

The wagon overturned, sending a man and woman to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Emergency Health Services transported both individuals, while police confirmed the horse was not injured.

No other injuries were reported.

The RCMP were present to support the parade and responded immediately to the scene.
