J.D. Irving co-CEO recovering from cancer surgery

The co-CEO of J.D. Irving, Limited is recovering after undergoing surgery for cancer.

Robert Irving had surgery on July 29 and is currently receiving a period of treatment.

A company statement said his brother, co-CEO Jim Irving, is leading operations during this time.

“No further information will be provided,” said the statement from vice-president Marc Doucette.

Irving is also president of Cavendish Farms, which is part of the J.D. Irving Group of Companies.

In addition, he serves as president of the Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League.
