The Association Of Atlantic Universities Hired A Mental Health Coordinator To Oversee 20 Institutions

Universities in Atlantic Canada are taking the mental health of their students very seriously.

Dr. Elizabeth Cawley has been hired by the Association of Atlantic Universities as a Mental Health Coordinator.

She will be helping to deal with the issue at 20 facilities.

Dr. Cawley says this is something that affects the majority of students.

“They also want to ensure that their time spent at university is beneficial to them, we’re really working on flourishing and coping skills to make sure that not only are they successful during their time at university but they have the capacity to flourish once they’re finished with their degree,” says Dr. Cawley.

Her main role will be to ensure mental health policies, procedures and initiatives are in place at the schools.
