A 54-year-old man has been charged after allegedly sexually assaulting a child nearly 22 years ago.
RCMP say they started investigating the incident in August, according to a news release.
The victim was a child at the time and the man was known to them.
Lunenberg RCMP arrested the man from Chester Basin yesterday on charges of sexual assault, exploitation and interference.
Investigators say there may be more victims in Newfoundland, Ontario, Alberta, and B.C.
Police say it is never too late to report a sexual assault.
