Blue Jays one win away after historic game 5 victory

The Toronto Blue Jays are on the brink of a World Series title after a dominant 6–1 win over the Dodgers in Game 5.

Toronto made history right out of the gate, with Davis Schneider and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hitting back-to-back home runs to open the game — a first in World Series history.

Rookie pitcher Trey Yesavage was electric, striking out 12 over seven innings while allowing just one earned run. His performance helped shut down a Dodgers lineup that managed only four hits.

With the win, the Jays take a 3–2 series lead. Game 6 is set for Friday night in Toronto, where the team will look to clinch its first championship since 1993.
