Bridgewater boy found sewing needle in candy bar: police

Bridgewater police are investigating after a young boy found a sewing needle in a chocolate bar.

Investigators say he went out trick or treating on Halloween and then returned home, according to a social media post.

But when he opened up a bar and took a bite, he saw a sewing needle in the centre of the bar, police say.

Police are reminding all parents to check all your child’s treats before they eat them and throw away any candy that might look homemade.

And check any wrapped treats for small holes in the package.

Throw away anything that looks torn, unwrapped or loose in the wrapping.
