Windsor man arrested for allegedly having, distributing child porn

A 67-year-old Windsor man is facing charges for allegedly possessing and distributing child pornography.

RCMP say they used a warrant to search a home on Wiley Avenue in Windsor on Oct. 22 and seized multiple electronic devices, according to a news release.

Investigators had previously learned that child sexual abuse and exploitation material was being transmitted by someone using the internet at the home.

The 67-year-old man was arrested on Thursday and faces charges of:

  • possessing child pornography
  • making child pornography available
  • accessing child pornography
  • possessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material

He was released on conditions and will appear in Kentville Provincial Court in January, 2026.

Police say it is mandatory for citizens to report suspected child sexual abuse and exploitation material. Anyone who comes across it must notify police. Failing to report it may result in penalties similar to failing to report child abuse.

You can be a voice for children experiencing abuse by reporting suspected offences to local police or through the national tipline here.
