84-year-old man dies after hitting truck on Highway 103

An 84-year-old man is dead after his car hit a transport truck in Port Mouton.

Queens District RCMP say it happened on Thursday at about 9:16 a.m. along Highway 103.

The man was driving a Mazda 3 and heading east and the International transport truck was heading west when they collided.

The driver of the Mazda, an 84-year-old man from Port Moulton, died at the scene.

The truck driver, a 35-year-old man from Chelsea, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

A collision reconstructionist was on the scene and Highway 103 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage is asked to reach out to the police.
