Souls Harbour Serves to serve over 1,200 Christmas dinners to people in need

Souls Harbour Rescue Mission is spreading holiday cheer across Nova Scotia with its annual Christmas dinner event.

This year, the organization is serving more than 1,200 free meals and handing out stockings at nine locations across the province.

The meals are available to anyone in need of food or companionship, with no registration required.

Locations include Lower Sackville, Bridgewater, Dartmouth, Truro, Amherst, Sydney Mines, New Waterford, and Yarmouth.

The event runs at every location from noon to 2 p.m. on December 23.

Souls Harbour says the initiative is about more than food—it’s about creating a sense of community during the holidays.

The charity expanded its reach this year by adding four new communities to the list, ensuring more Nova Scotians can enjoy a traditional turkey dinner and festive atmosphere.
