Nova Scotia’s finance minister is gathering feedback for the 2016-17 budget.
The latest budget update from Randy Delorey in December projected a deficit of $241.2-million.
He met last week with local business leaders and politicians in Lunenburg County.
Delorey says an increase in economic development can help boost revenue in the province.
“Through our tax system, income and HST. They don’t want to see, necessarily, economic growth through increases in taxes, so you do need the economic growth to see new dollars.”
An interactive question-and-answer session will be held Wednesday evening at 6 p.m through Facebook at facebook.com/nsgov .
Other ways to participate include:
— join in discussions on the province’s Facebook page at facebook.com/nsgov
