Ever Wanted To Live In An Underground Bunker? Here’s Your Chance!

I’ve always thought it would be cool to have a bunker! I don’t think the world is ending or anything (at least not yet), but I always thought that would be the ultimate hangout spot!

The Debert Cold War bunker was built in the 1960s as one of Canada’s “Diefenbunkers” to accommodate up to 350 government and military officials for 90 days during a nuclear emergency. There were a few of them across Canada!

Now it’s privately owned and is turning into condos! 50 luxury condos are up for sale with 11 already sold and ready to move into by this year! They also say there will be hotel or Airbnb opportunities too! Now the price of these condos is not public, but here are some of the features:

Suites are marketed as a “luxury safe haven” offering:

  • Self‑sustaining systems (energy, water, food) for 6–9 months
  • Spa, fitness centre, coffee shop, cigar lounge
  • Advanced security (biometric access, thermal radar, 24/7 surveillance)

The owners of the bunker say owners can rent out their condos when not in use and yes, if there was a disaster the owners are allowed to kick out the guests in their condos! Find out more at www.thediefenbaker.com
